Unit Description

In this unit, students will learn about the ʻŌpeʻapeʻa, also known as the Hawaiian Hoary Bat. Focusing on the ʻŌpeʻapeʻa, hawaii's only terrestrial mammal, students will explore topics of energy-flow, food-webs, ecosystem dynamics, and the characteristics of nocturnal animals.
